This is the moment a group of children played on live rail tracks without a care in the world - moments after a train driver was forced to pull an emergency stop to avoid killing them. Shocking mobile phone footage shows the youngsters larking around on the line in Syston, Leicestershire, recorded by the stunned driver of a train which had been hurtling towards them. 'We would also like to remind everyone how important it is to stop, look and listen when crossing a railway crossing. He said: 'Sadly many children and young people think the rail tracks look tempting places to play and don't consider how dangerous the tracks can be. 'Not only is it a criminal offence to trespass on the tracks, it can have life-changing and sometimes fatal consequences.
