Liverpool icon John Barnes has warned Arsenal that they would be short of depth if they parted ways with Emile Smith Rowe in January. The playmaker has hardly featured for the Gunners so far this season, prompting conversations about whether he needs to head elsewhere to truly develop. But Barnes has told bonuscodebets.co.uk that it would be Arsenal to green-light the sale of their academy product, saying: “Smith Rowe is currently part of the Arsenal squad and when called upon you know he’ll do a good job. For him to leave Arsenal could leave them exposed should a Trossard or Martinelli get injured. Like Antony Gordon, if he were to leave I’m sure he would do a great job at a club like Aston Villa.”
