The Cabinet Secretary in charge of transport James Macharia directed the Kenya Railways Corporation to increase the number of trips made by trains on routes they ply to accommodate the huge number of Kenyans stranded as a result of the ongoing matatu strike. The CS further directs that fares reduce by 10%. CS Macharia has visited the Kenya Railways train station to ensure the directive is being implemented.
