Spurs sacked Jose Mourinho two-and-a-half months ago, but are still to settle on the 58-year-old’s successor having been turned down by all of their primary targets. Spurs then turned their attention to reappointing Mauricio Pochettino, but the club’s most successful manager of recent times will remain at Paris Saint-Germain. Nuno Espirito Santo, who left Wolves at the end of last season, now appears to be the front runner, but Sinclair feels Lampard, despite his Chelsea links, represents the best available man for the job. ‘Listen he did not do that much wrong at Chelsea with Jody Morris [ex-Chelsea assistant manager] behind him.
