Starting initially as shore crew, she passed out in the role earlier this month and had begun her training to join the lifeboat crew. A spokesperson for Dunbar RNLI said: “A talented tattoo artist, Kerry ran her own studio in East Linton and was highly regarded in the industry. “In a short space of time, Kerry impressed everyone with her enthusiasm and dedication to the role and quickly became a popular and valued member of the team. “Our thoughts and sincerest condolences are with Kerry’s family and friends. “We have been greatly touched by the support from the wider RNLI and search and rescue family, with many lifeboat stations across the UK and Ireland and beyond lowering their flags as a mark of respect in Kerry’s memory.”
