And, the Hungarian-American added, a "confidence trickster" like Donald Trump can be elected president and undermine democracy from within. And until the election that month, Soros said, Trump is "very dangerous [because] he's fighting for his life and he will do anything to stay in power." His son Donald Trump Jr has even shared a theory accusing Soros - a Jew who posed as a Christian to survive Nazi-occupied Hungary during World War II - of being Nazi himself. Trump has also accused Soros - without providing evidence - of funding caravans of Central American migrants heading to the US border in 2018.
