Shortly after Saturday Night Live’s cold open “It’s A Wonderful Trump” aired this past weekend, the president took to Twitter to criticize the show and NBC for what he deemed to be “one-sided coverage” and defamation. A REAL scandal is the one sided coverage, hour by hour, of networks like NBC & Democrat spin machines like Saturday Night Live. While defamation, which Trump alluded to on Twitter, is a different beast altogether, there is no evidence that the SNL sketch was defamatory in any way to Trump’s reputation. Additionally, the Supreme Court decided on the issue of parody vs. defamation years ago in 1988. Trump is not the first president to be mocked by SNL, by far, and he most certainly won’t be the last.
