According to some conspiracy theories, a “Deep State,” a hidden network of people, is trying to interfere with Trump’s agenda or do other untoward things. For example, as I have written before for Forbes , some conspiracy theories claim that the “Deep State” actually manufactured the pandemic. The “Deep State” tweet wasn’t the only tweet from Trump about the FDA for the day. Ultimately, the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic is not a shallow problem, but rather a deep, deep, deep one. But not in a “Deep State” sort of way.
