The Trump administration has reassured the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo of its full support, the presidency in DRC tweeted on Friday. Nagy, who is on his third African tour, was in DR March 13-15, after visiting Rwanda and Uganda. The U.S. is committed to supporting his efforts to create a more peaceful and prosperous Democratic Republic of the Congo,” Nagy tweeted on Friday. Both sides, in order to advance their own agendas, often end up using excessive force, including killing and kidnapping innocent civilians. While in Cameroon, Assistant Secretary Nagy’s activities will include meetings with Cameroonian government officials and a visit to a U.S. company that has a presence there.
