President Donald Trump will sit with NBC’s Tom Llamas for an interview which will air in part during the net’s Super Bowl LX pregame coverage on Sunday afternoon, according to Brian Stelter of CNN. He did tape an interview with Fox’ Bret Baier last year when the game was on Fox. Agreeing to the NBC interview, part of which also will air on “NBC Nightly News,” provides Trump an opportunity “to reach beyond his regular audience” (CNN.com, 2/3). NBC has “not announced when exactly the Trump interview will air” during the five-plus hour pregame show. One question to consider is whether Trump will “insist, as he has with CBS News, that the interview air unedited.” That would seem to be “impossible, given the time constraints and tight choreography of a Super Bowl pregame show” (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 2/4).
