Pam Bondi is out of her job as US attorney general in the Trump administration, reports the BBC's US news partner CBS. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will work as acting attorney general, and Bondi will be offered another post in the administration, CBS says. "Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year," Trump writes. Before becoming attorney general, Bondi was affiliated with the America First Policy Institute, a conservative think tank founded by former Trump staff members, leading its legal arm. Pam Bondi's departure as Attorney General does not come as a surprise - although the timing may seem a bit sudden.
