Armed with his “America First” philosophy, President Donald Trump arrived in Switzerland on Thursday to tout his economic agenda at a global summit that stresses free trade and international cooperation. “I’m going to Davos right now to get people to invest in the United States,” Trump said Wednesday before the overnight flight to Europe. A vocal critic of trade deals he sees as unfair to the United States, Trump will also stress the need for what he sees as fair competition. McMaster said the United States continues to have a “special relationship” with Britain. Trump’s top economic adviser Gary Cohn rejected the suggestion that the United States had pulled back from international cooperation.
