That last-ditch effort to wriggle out of accountability comes after the Supreme Court ruled in a 6-3 decision Monday that Trump has full immunity for “official acts” he took as president. Trump made hush money payments to porn actor Stormy Daniels in the days before the 2016 presidential election, making it unlikely that the Supreme Court decision would apply.
