Jerusalem (CNN) Palestinian protesters and Israeli security forces clashed Friday in Jerusalem and the West Bank amid heightened tensions in the region and elsewhere over US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. At least 49 people were injured Thursday during protests over Trump's decision, the Palestinian Red Crescent said. The governments of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia and Indonesia were among those to speak out against Trump's decision. Protesters gather in Malaysia to denounce US President Donald Trump's decision on Jerusalem. He also said that Trump's decision did not "indicate any final status for Jerusalem," adding that the "final status would be left to the parties to negotiate and decide."
