Last week, President Donald Trump had issued an order that halted the US refugee program and barred arrivals from seven Muslim-majority countries. The Trump administration took pains to clarify that it wasn't a 'Muslim ban'. On Friday, Judge James Robart, a federal judge in Seattle, Washington, agreed to a nationwide block the travel ban while the court considered Washington and Minnesota's lawsuit against the presidential executive order. Late Friday, the White House responded saying that the US Department of Justice aims to file an appeal at the earliest possible time. The circuit court ruled out issuing an temporary relief, letting judge Robart's block on the travel ban stay in place for now.
