In a stunning development, Fox News announced Monday that Tucker Carlson, its most controversial and also most-watched host, had left the cable network. In a terse statement, the network said: “Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. His nightly 8 pm show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, which he’s helmed since 2016, averaged 3.3 million viewers in 2022, the largest audience across all of cable news.
