Former Foreign Affairs minister Raphael Tuju has told Cord leader Raila Odinga to prepare to lose to President Uhuru Kenyatta again in next year’s presidential election. Tuju said four counties in Nyanza where Raila enjoys huge support with “almost a religious zeal” only registered 1.5 million voters while only two counties in Central have listed an equal number. He urged Raila to form alliance with communities with large voting blocs if he wants to win the presidency. He said Raila risks remaining in the “elusive presidential struggle” alone with his Cord co-principals since their supporters work with the government. Tuju said Uhuru still enjoys the tyranny of numbers.
