It’s becoming crystal clear that the future is sounding chatty for those suffering with hearing loss. What we found gave us hope that modern technology can bring people with hearing loss back into the conversation, even in challenging, noisy environments. They started giving up trying to decipher spoken words at an SNR of about -8 decibels. This advance can empower people with hearing loss to participate in the same social settings as people with normal hearing.
