Tunisia were eliminated meekly in the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals in Gabon by Burkina Faso, and lost 1-0 in two friendlies over the last weeks to Cameroon and Morocco. The country has a 100 percent record after two matches of their World Cup qualifying group, sharing top spot with the Democratic Republic of Congo. Kasperczak is in his second spell in charge of Tunisia. In 1996, he took them to the final of the Nations Cup in Johannesburg, where they lost to South Africa.
