Turkey's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday congratulated Africa Day by sharing a video message on Twitter. Underlining that Turkey has been improving its partnership and cooperation with the continent, the video also listed Turkish institutions actively operating in African countries. The video also includes footage from events organized by Turkish institutions in various African countries. Deputy Foreign Minister Yavuz Selim Kıran also said on Twitter: "It is Africa Day. In 2009, there were only 12 Turkish embassies in African countries, with five of them in North Africa.
