"In the aftermath of a coup attempt in Turkey, we have found some connection in India, Mumbai, of the perpetrators.... Mumbai, Aug. 8: Turkey has alleged that the outfit behind the failed coup of July 15 has deep roots in Mumbai and elsewhere in India. Ergen, the consul-general, said he could not give the details of these institutions in India because of legal issues. Ergen said the Gulen network operated various charitable and business institutions in Mumbai and other Indian cities. Consulate sources later said the consul-general was referring to what Turkey calls the "Fetullah terrorist organisation".
