BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Saturday held separate courtesy meetings with Turkey’s Ambassador Mustafa Osman and Egypt’s Ambassador Omar Mahi Eldin Ahmed Fahmy at his office in Gulshan, Dhaka. BNP Joint Secretary General Humayun Kabir told reporters that the talks briefly covered international interest following Rahman’s return, plans for governing under a BNP administration, and strengthening diplomatic ties. Diplomats from other countries exchanged views on Bangladesh’s political context and future diplomatic relations. He said several foreign diplomats have expressed interest in meeting Rahman, and such interactions will continue.
