Two Rangers and Celtic Scottish Cup ticket precedents that could scupper full Broomloan Stand away allocationSFA rules state that away clubs can claim up to 20 per cent of a home stadium's capacity in the Scottish CupView Image Celtic want the full Broomloan Stand (Image: Daily Record)Celtic fans are desperate to be handed a return of the full Broomloan Stand for next month’s Scottish Cup blockbuster at Ibrox. But hopes of the traditional Old Firm away allocation being restored could yet be scuppered by precedents that have already been set. Hoops chiefs are pushing for around 7,000 tickets at Ibrox after being paired with Danny Rohl’s side in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup. More recently, Celtic themselves took a firm stance over away numbers when Hibs came calling in last season’s Scottish Cup quarter-final. Celtic later agreed to increase that figure to 7,000 following discussions - still only around 10 per cent of Celtic Park’s 60,832 capacity - underlining why any return to a full Broomloan Stand is far from guaranteed.
