Abdus Salam and KhairuddinProcess is underway to file departmental cases against themPolice headquarters on Monday suspended two officials of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) on allegations of irregularities and corruption. The officials are -- Reserve Inspector Abdus Salam and Reserve Officer Sub-Inspector Khairuddin. According to police sources, the police headquarters found primary evidence of corruption and asked to lodge departmental cases against the two officials. SMP Commissioner Nisharul Arif said he already received the order signed by Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md Rezaul Haq. "Process is underway to file departmental cases against them," he added.
