Two Toronto campuses evacuated over bomb threats, police say


At least two Toronto post-secondary campuses were evacuated Tuesday morning as police investigated bomb threats to several schools, but one reopened quickly after it was deemed safe. The @TorontoPolice Service is responding to numerous bomb threats to post-secondary campuses throughout the city. “Toronto police are on site working with OCAD U’s Safety & Security Team,” the school said in a statement. “We thank the OCAD University community for their prompt co-operation with today’s evacuations.”Police said four post-secondary schools — OCAD, Ryerson, Humber College and George Brown College — had received threats, affecting 10 campuses. — OCAD University (@OCAD) June 18, 2019They said the first call came in shortly before 9 a.m. and all threats were similar in nature.
