Two Westchester Italian restaurants are competing with 'best in NYC,' Forbes writes

It's not everyday Forbes focuses on Westchester, but in a recent story, John Mariani, a longtime food writer (and Westchester resident) who for 30 years searched out the best new restaurants for Esquire magazine, praises two Italian favorites: Augustine's Salumeria in Mamaroneck and La Bocca in White Plains. In fact, as the headline boasts, these two Italian trattorias "can compete with the best in NYC." Writes Mariani: "Not for the first time will I argue that the best Italian restaurants are more often than not run by individuals who put their names and reputations on the line every day and night they’re open. The menus are their own, their purveyors work with them, their staff has longevity and their presence in the kitchen and dining room is as dependable as the consistency of the food.
