Both men, aged in their 50s, are being quizzed at Garda stations in the Dublin Metropolitan Region. “As part of Operation Tara, gardaí have seized €1.52 million worth of suspected illegal cannabis during a search of a residence in South Dublin on the evening of Thursday, March 26,” a Garda spokesperson said. Acting Assistant Commissioner Dublin Metropolitan Region, Jonathan Roberts said this was “yet another example of the relentless efforts by members of An Garda Síochána to target criminality that causes the most harm in our communities”. This seizure forms part of Operation Tara an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy, which was launched by the Garda Commissioner in July 2021.
