Two men arrested after string of robberies in Toronto and Brampton

From June to September, multiple financial and retail locations were robbed by two men wearing masks and brandishing a handgun, police say. Police have arrested two men in relation to a series of armed robberies in Toronto and Brampton this summer. Peel Regional Police’s Central Robbery Bureau arrested Aynla Mustafa Hassan, 26, and Mossab Abdelrahim, 25, on Friday. Police did not release details about which robberies the two allegedly committed — aside from the fact that one reportedly took place at a Toronto TTC station — or what kind of disguises they used. A replica gun was found during a search of one of their residences, as well as masks and clothing allegedly used in the robberies, police say.
