The pair were responding to reports of an assault yesterday evening when they were stabbed near Burrator Avenue, in the Devon village of Princetown. A 60-year-old man has been arrested this morning on suspicion of attempted murder. Devon and Cornwall Police said one officer suffered injuries to his arms and has since been discharged from Derriford Hospital. Eyewitnesses described a 'distressing scene' in the early hours of this morning which involved officers tasering a man. One officer remains in hospital where is receiving treatment to his face and arms, while the other was stabbed in the armA 60-year-old man from the area has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
