Two students die after consuming ethanol in schoolTwo students from Karigini Mixed Secondary School, Tharaka Nithi, have allegedly died and several others hospitalised after consuming ethanol from the school lab. Police have launched investigations into the incident that has led to the admission of 11 students. Distressed parents have thronged the school seeking the whereabouts of the learners and information about the tragedy. Last month a Form four student died in Kitale County Hospital where he had been rushed after taking suspected Ethanol. Ethanol has a variety of uses including applications as a laboratory and industrial solvent.
