Two-thirds of voters think convicted criminals like Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch should not be allowed take a seat in Dáil Éireann, a new Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks poll shows. Just over a quarter of those polled (27pc) said they believe convicted criminals should be allowed to take a seat compared to 66pc against and 7pc who said they didn’t know.
