Two women remanded over alleged use of fake ID card

Two Nepali women were taken away by police after hotel staff found they had the same identity document numbers when checking into a Tsim Sha Tsui hotel in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The duo checked in to a hotel on Salisbury Road in Tsim Sha Tsui at around 12am on Wednesday. Yet when they showed their identity documents to the staff, they found that the two women had the exact same ID numbers. The staffers whose suspicions were raised then reported the incident to police, who later arrived at the scene to investigate. After a preliminary investigation, they suspected that the 36-year-old woman was using an identity card that belonged to another person, and the 41-year-old woman was suspected of using a false instrument.
