While some British scientists have praised their government for not taking what they see as knee-jerk measures, others worry the strategy is risky. “There are some countries that are not fully following the science,” U.K. Health Secretary Matt Hancock said Wednesday. The government’s scientific advisers say the U.K. is weeks behind the development of the virus in Italy, the European country most severely hit.
