The U.S. Embassy in Cairo has partnered with College Board to launch a specialised college admissions training programme for more than 50 Egyptian high school counsellors. The initiative aims to enhance advising capabilities, broaden counsellors’ understanding of international admissions systems and the SAT, and better prepare students for global higher education opportunities. Recognised by universities across the United States and by many institutions worldwide, the SAT is a globally trusted academic credential designed to assess students’ preparedness for college-level study. The agreement between College Board and Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Technical Education restored an important pathway for Egyptian students seeking to pursue higher education in the United States. By supporting American educational organisations expanding their presence in Egypt and enhancing institutional collaboration, the programme aims to deliver lasting benefits for students, educators and higher education institutions in both nations.
