Sibling Revelry at the OpenPhotoVenus and Serena Williams are not the only sibling act in the opening days of the Open. The Zverevs, Germans who are coached by their father, are playing in the same Grand Slam singles tournament for the first time. Mischa, who is 10 years older and ranked 127th, reached the main draw at the United States Open through the qualifying tournament. Mischa had not won a match at a Grand Slam tournament since Wimbledon in 2009. The top-seeded Williams starts off her quest for a 23rd Grand Slam singles title with as hard an early match as she could have drawn.
