(DJN) The Philippine central bank left its benchmark rates unchanged, saying inflation risks have diminished but still merit caution. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said Thursday it will keep its overnight reverse repurchase rate steady at 6.50%, in line with the unanimous expectation of 10 economists polled by The Wall Street Journal. (DJN) Nigeria's annual inflation rate rose to 29.90% in January from 28.92% a month earlier, the National Bureau of Statistics said Thursday. The increase marks the 13th consecutive month of rising inflation in the West African country.
