The current bipartisan bill includes $66 billion for passenger and freight rail, $65 billion for broadband internet expansion, $39 billion for transit. The total cost of the bipartisan bill is expected to be around $550 billion. Much of the cost of the bipartisan bill is paid for through money appropriated for unrelated programs, but which has not yet been spent.
