Conor McGregor has failed to avenge his defeat to Dustin Poirier after the Diamond secured a stoppage victory in bizarre circumstances at UFC 264. The lightweight rivals met in Las Vegas with McGregor seeking to avenge his Fight Island defeat to Poirier, in which the Louisianan stopped the Irishman inside two rounds. He also estimates that UFC 264 will garner between 1.7m and 1.8m PPV buys. The controversial ending to the UFC 264 main event has seen plenty of UFC stars take to social media to give their reactions, as McGregor's arch rival Khabib Nurmagomedov taunted the Irishman.
