UK police order RPK to cease writing about Rewcastle-Brown

KUALA LUMPUR: Manchester Police yesterday served blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) with a notice to refrain from writing about Sarawak Report founder Clare Rewcastle-Brown. According to a report by online portal Malaysia Today, UK-based RPK was told by police that he will be arrested and charged in court if he continues to write articles about Rewcastle-Brown. In response, RPK pointed to the fact that Rewcastle-Brown continues to write about other people, such as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. The police told RPK that Rewcastle-Brown was suffering from stress due to his writings about her. “Knowing Raja Petra and how stubborn he is, he might just defy the police order and continue writing (about Rewcastle-Brown), even if that means he will be arrested and sent to jail,” the online portal added.
