The British government has warned its citizens to avoid political rallies as Kenya prepares for the August 8 polls. It also advises against all but essential travel within 60km of Mandera, Garissa and Lamu counties, noting that a curfew has been imposed. "This curfew doesn't apply to Lamu Island, Manda Island or Pate Island," it adds.
