The south of the country will be the hottest spot this week - but much of the UK will enjoy temperatures much higher than the June average. Northern Ireland and western Scotland will experience patchy rain, which will later die out and join the rest of the country in the sun. Hot and sunny in East Friday, thunderstorms spreading from the W. Storms clear Scotland Saturday, then sunshine and showers, fresher.
