The UK has been battered by storms this week, with gale force winds of up to 85mph causing havoc, along with heavy rain. Last night snow also fell in some areas as severe weather warnings were issued. In other parts of the country, strong gales and rainfall continued as yellow weather warnings were issued. A severe weather warning for wind is in force across the area through until 9pm on Friday night.
