UK weather forecast: Britain 'hotter than Tenerife' as mercury sky-rockets to 32C

The Met Office is forecasting "very hot" weather in parts from the country, and temperatures could hit 32C on Midsummer's Day on Wednesday. Father's Day is likely to be warm and dry, but hotter weather is to come in the middle of next week. Temperatures above 30C have been forecast by MeteoGroup until Friday and even areas in the North are due to see 27C weather. The BBC says the mercury could hit 32C in London on Friday, with five successive days of 27C or higher on the cards. “Most will have fine and warm weather, with heat peaking from midweek onwards.”Weather maps show a 700-mile wide plume of subtropical and continental air bringing the scorching weather.
