Freezing weather conditions are expected especially across northern parts of the UK, Met Office forecasters have said. On Saturday, most of the UK will be covered in fog and temperatures will remain cold, the Met Office said. Met Office Meteorologist Aidan McGivern said: "Two words essentially sum up this weekend - dry and gloomy." Northern Ireland and northern England will experience clear spells, with a few freezing fog patches and frost in southern Scotland, according to the meteorologist. Northern Ireland is also set to have a bright start before clouds move in and remain for the remainder of Saturday.
