UN High Commissioner for Human Rights appeals to India, Pakistan for access to Kashmir

Voicing concerns over alleged human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir and PoK, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad al-Hussein today appealed to both India and Pakistan to grant his team access to Jammu and Kashmir as well as Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He expressed deep regret at the failure of Indian and Pakistani authorities to grant the UN Human Rights Office access to Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-administered Kashmir respectively, given grave concerns about recent allegations of serious human rights violations.
