The official expressed her pleasure at Luxor’s hosting of the Global Observance of the World Cities Day for this year. She highlighted Egypt’s powerful program launched in 2014 to move towards new and renewable energy, noting that cities shall be re-planned and re-managed in a way that guarantees their sustainability. President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi headed Sunday to the United Kingdom to attend the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26 summit) held in Glasgow on October 31-November 12. Spokesperson of the Presidency Bassam Rady stated that the president will focus on climate change topics relevant to developing countries in general, and to African states in specific.
