The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) announced that members of the economic track of the Structured Dialogue resumed their third round of in-person meetings on Monday in the capital, Tripoli, according to a statement posted on its Facebook page. According to the mission, the four-day round will continue in-depth discussions on economic policy, macroeconomic stability, and ways to enhance transparency and accountability in the sector. Participants will also begin drafting a practical and implementable outcome document, including actionable economic recommendations to be incorporated into the final report of the structured dialogue, scheduled for release in June 2026. On January 23, the mission had announced that the economic track reached an important consensus on the need to unify the national budget and reform the governance of oil revenues, considering them key entry points to addressing economic imbalances and enhancing financial stability. In parallel with other structured dialogue tracks; governance, security, human rights, and national reconciliation, the economic track will propose mechanisms to help ensure the implementation of its recommendations.
