UP Budget: Yogi govt sets aside ₹ 800 cr for land acquisition for Jewar airport


The allocation is made in the state budget for FY2020 that lays emphasis on infrastructure as well as basic amenities to people. The budget presented by state finance minister Rajesh Agarwal also set aside ₹200 crore for developing an airport at Ayodhya, as per the budget document. The proposed airport at Jewar is expected to be completed by FY2023 at a cost of about ₹15,000-20,000 crore. The UP budget also made fund allocation for socially significant schemes like affordable housing, for which ₹6,240 crore has been set aside for FY20. It has set aside ₹3,488 crore for rural jobs.
