No fewer than three persons have been recovered dead from the ruins of the building which collapsed in the Yaba area of Lagos State on Saturday. Aside from the three fatalities recorded, emergency responders were able to rescue two victims who were trapped under the rubbles for more than seven hours alive. So far, it is still unclear the number of people trapped in the rubble of the collapsed building. His confirmation was contained in a statement released by the agency’s spokesperson, Nosa Okunbor, titled, ‘Situation Report on Collapsed Building on Akanbi Street Close to Unilag Main Gate’. Recovered dead: 3 adult males.”He added that the recovery operation was still ongoing for other victims.
