The Ukiah demonstration, held each Saturday at 1 p.m., featured signs criticizing Trump, calling for peace and opposing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions. Participants lined the sidewalk along State Street holding handmade signs and banners as passing motorists drove by. Some demonstrators carried banners affiliated with Indivisible Ukiah , a local activist organization. In Humboldt County, Indivisible Trinidad, a grassroots group opposing Trump administration policies, has endorsed a resolution headed to the Trinidad City Council supporting inclusivity and due process in immigration enforcement. Tina Freeland, an organizer with Indivisible Trinidad, said the group believes local governments should publicly affirm those principles even though immigration enforcement itself is handled at the federal level.
